Our Mission
We are a 4th grade class doing a service learning project. We are trying to help homeless pets by spreading information about homeless cats and dogs, you can volunteer at a Utah rescues or shelters, you can also learn how to take care of your pets. We have information about how to help animals in need. Our goal is to help animals in need in a variety of ways. We wish for every animal to have a protective, and loving family.

Utah animal facts If you see a dog far from his home, and if you alert them they will have their tail down and their ears up.
If your cat or dogs nose is wet that means they're healthy. If it's dry that means it needs more food or water. Did you know that as of 2014 - Utah was killing 46,000 animals per year in shelters because there were too many dogs roaming the streets? With an estimated 160,000 homeless pets roaming the reservation on any given day, the kill rate at the shelters is very high — most animals don't come out alive unless they are rescued. |
How You Can Help
Donate old towels and blankets to give the animals beds and shelter. You can volunteer to clean their cages, give them food, and give the clean water. Volunteers can walk them to give them exercise and you can let them run around in your backyard. You can adopt some animals and give them a home to live in. You can adopt them so they can be loved. Volunteers can give them baths so they can be clean and avoid getting sick. You should will clean their teeth daily so they won't get dental diseases.
Feral Cats
Feral cats have existed for 10,000 years. You are probably wondering, "are they a different animal?" No, they are not. People have not cared for them for that many years. Here is an idea to help feral cats: for the night, leave food and water out on your porch. The next day check to see if some food and water is gone. If it is, keep filling it. If you see a feral cat, help it and you can save a life.
Thank you for helping our class pursue our mission of our service learning project of 2018.
